Syntik-DR is an electronic drum synthesizer designed to create a broad range of drum sounds commonly associated with classic analogue synthesizers and drum machines. Its layering workflow allows users to build complex sounds, from deep, rich kicks to lo-fi percussions, unique sound effects, and distorted rave-style kicks. This approach opens up a wide sonic palette suitable for modern music production, delivering both familiar and experimental drum tones.

The synthesizer features four fundamental waveform shapes including sine, triangle, saw, and pulse, which can be combined across up to four sound layers. A set of effects enhances sound design possibilities, offering a multi-mode filter with low pass, high pass, and band pass options, alongside bit crushing, bass boosting, and various distortion types such as overdrive, hard-clip, and fold-back. Additionally, an FM oscillator with seven selectable waveforms adds depth and variation to sound creation.

Syntik-DR supports full MIDI integration with velocity management, automation, and easy MIDI learn functionality for all parameters. It accommodates both standard 7-bit MIDI continuous controllers and high resolution 14-bit MIDI NRPN and RPN messages, ensuring precise control. The plugin includes a robust preset management system allowing users to save, load, rename, and undo changes, with support for XML presets and banks for easy exchange across formats. With 128 factory presets and room for 128 user presets per bank, this tool offers both immediate usability and extensive customization.
