DrumXchanger is a powerful tool designed to replace drum sounds seamlessly within multitrack sessions. It utilizes SPL’s proprietary Transient Designer technology to identify drum hits accurately, allowing for phase-precise sample replacement regardless of the original signal’s level. This ensures that every drum hit, from strong strikes to subtle ghost notes, is captured and replaced with clarity and detail, maintaining the integrity of the original performance.

The plugin offers extensive control over both the original drum sounds and the replacement samples. Users can blend samples with the original audio or apply a ducking feature that reduces only the level of the drum hit without affecting the surrounding ambience. Two independent Transient Designer processors are included to shape the dynamics of both original and sample signals, complemented by high-pass and low-pass filters. Real-time pitch shifting up to one octave up or down and delay control allow for precise timing adjustments, enhancing the flexibility of drum sound replacement.

DrumXchanger comes with a comprehensive sample library featuring high-quality 24 bit/96 kHz recordings created using SPL’s renowned preamps and processors. The library includes multiple drum kits with a wide range of dynamic levels and variations, ensuring authentic and rich drum sounds. Users can also import their own WAV samples, with support for multisample creation and MIDI integration planned for future updates.
