Beatzille is a compact modular synthesizer derived from the larger Bazille, designed to deliver a streamlined synthesis experience. Developed by u-he for the German music and technology magazine Beat, it offers a focused selection of modules arranged for more straightforward sound design. This version maintains a digital synthesis engine that combines frequency modulation, phase distortion, and fractal resonance, allowing for rich and dynamic tone creation.

The synthesizer includes a multimode analog-style filter with multiple output options, along with built-in stereo delay to enhance spatial effects. Its 16-step sequencer supports up to eight different snapshots, enabling complex rhythmic patterns and sound variations. Beatzille also features essential signal processing tools such as inverters, rectifiers, sample-and-hold circuits, lag generators, and a quantizer, providing a broad palette for modulation.

Additional modulation controls include two envelopes and one LFO, while a versatile waveshaper module offers various drawing tools to shape waveforms creatively. The user interface supports zoom adjustments and a configuration menu for setting preferences and MIDI assignments, ensuring a customizable workflow. Beatzille also supports Oddsound MTS-ESP for enhanced MIDI polyphonic expression. This synthesizer is exclusively available through Beat magazine's DVD releases.
